thats not your problem. all that is, is a thread for a vaccum hose barb. some boost controlers work by running vaccum to there.

im guessing because treadstone doesnt run any engine management with their kits. do you have a piggy back? is it emanage? if so reset your factory ecu. if not i would get a standalone or a piggyback.

no i dont have a piggyback...yet im hoping to get one soon. but im almost positive the high afr's are from an exhaust leak, i was just trying to eliminate all other posibilities.

high afr's from an exhaust leak? im not following how that would happen unless your leaking at the manifold maybe. lemme think about this.

so your running a turbo with absolutley no engine management at all, and you think that an exaust leak is to blame for you high afr??

thats what im thinking, along with the installer. the kit is designed to run with no management, i know that its not a good idea, but im trying to get management and a tune asap

your wideband is too far away.. you really should have it in the downpipe near the factory wideband.

im gonna go out on a limb here and say that when you get an engine management of some kind, your afr's will be ok

you will get a more accurated reading from closer to the engine IE downpipe.. i believe i've head the ideal is around 18inches downstream... and also i personnally had a very lean IDLE when the bolts holding the wastegate to the manifold vibrated loose causing a massive exhaust leak... but under WOT/partial throttle they were normal

if you have a "massive" exaust leak then obviously thats gonna mess with your afr. but it really doesnt matter where it is located. mine is in the s-pipe. when you take your car to the dyno to get tuned, where does the tuner put the o2 sniffer? thats right, in the muffler. when he tunes your car he looks at what afr is on the screen, and not whats on your wideband. i know the directions say 18 inches, but really i doesnt mater that much.

now a pyrometer is a whole different story

yes a pyrometer IS a different story lol... but yeah mines in the s-pipe too, it was easier at the time lol... regardless i think the o2 sniffer they use on the dyno is probably more accurate than my AEM UEGO... wasnt tryin to start a peein contest tho

i dont think that your lean idle is caused by an exaust leak. i have the same thing with mine, but it only does it once the car has been running for a while. i think it has something to do with compressor surge or air temps.

i have the same idle, 14 to 16afr. now my wot is anywhere from 10 to 11.5. 12.5 to 13 is not good..
