im guessing it ticks alot faster if uve been driving alot or if you were pushing your car hard?

if thats the case, here what it's from. THIS WAS TAUGHT TO ME THROUGH AN AUTOS CLASS TEACHER (someone please correct me when i'm wrong) theres a gasket between your head and block. it is squeezed VERY tightly between them. when ur engine is on, it gets hot and expands. when it turns off, the gasket contracts. since it is wedged so tightly between the head and block, it slides between them laterally and the noise comes from it slowly creeping back to its original position. sorta like dragging a table or heavy furniture across a hard floor, and it sometimes makes that stuttering sound. i hope i'm right lol
