kind of sounds more like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF0JO...9C581&index=16

which is an xr6 which does not have a bov supposedly... which is why you can hear all the compressor surge. Is there any bov that flutters like this? because I know I heard one on a 240 one time but i couldnt catch the guy to ask him..

i hear what you might mistaken as a flutter in hte begining, which is actually hte hks opening up and the supra tapping the throttle.

does it sound like this because of the distance the camera is away from the car? or the supra hitting a higher boost than my car?

and what about the second vid I posted.. anyone know any bovs that sound like that?

its the higher boost level, think about it. the rush of air over that weird shaped piece in the hks.

haha

My hks is adjustable, so you have set how fast the boost is released, right now it I have it set at max, so it is really high pitched, abot the same as the supra, and the flutter on mine is the boost needed to open the valve keeps buling boost in the pipe as the compressor slows

There is only one other BOV that makes a remotely high pitched sound like that and that would be the TiAL 50mm BOV and it usually only makes that higher pitched sound at higher boost pressures at full spool

I have an old hks on my kit, and they are fully adjustable, and it was a nightmare to find one because the are not made any longer. But my bov does have an adjustment screw in the back for adjusting the air flow
