Sup yall,

Im bouta install my Dezod s1 turbo kit on my FM 06 tC 5 speed. I need some advice on how big i should get my exhaust to be??? Should i get a 2.5" exhaust or a 3" exhaust??!! YOur advice would b great on helping me decide!!

How much power do you want to push? Less than 400 then get 2.5" more then get the 3".

 

I'm personally going with a 3" exhaust. I'm with the school of thought that bigger is better on FI (of course there are always exceptions).

Depends on your long term goals. If you want to reach 400whp or more, 3". If you want less, 2.5" will be fine.

True, the less exhaust restriction the better, but you will hit PLENTY of other restrictions before exhaust makes a HUGE enough difference. Example: Head, CAM, Manifold, Turbine wheel and A/R.....Need I say more?

 

Absolutely! However all of those mentioned above costs more than an exhaust.

Manifold (a better one that is EL) would be atleast $800 - not to mention you'll need to modify down-pipe most likely.

Turbine wheel and A/R - each about $200 plus labor for turbo rebuild.

We know how expensive our cams are.. LOL.

A new head will set you back over a grand.

 

The dezod head is gonna set me back a little more than a grand, lol.

I don't think the listed price even includes shipping =X

Yeah, someone on here actually picked up over 3 PSI of boost with our head. THAT IS IMPRESSIVE flow.

 

I'm saving up =p

I won't have enough for the complete head + bc cams, for at least another 3-4 months tho.

I had other expenses come up.

But I can't wait to get it >.< !!!!

I have it on my car right now, without any other powered mods, and it's deep and quiet.

 

if i do get the ptuning 3" exhaust should i have a 3" down-pipe made to fit the dezod s1 turbo kit?? Would that be better??

custom 3'' dont pay for the ptuning when u can get 1 made for half the price. ptuning one looks like garbage too.

 

the p-tuning does work very good. But i dont like how it looks.

 

I think its the best exaust... I prefer it over my dezod turbo-back exaust...

it looks so stock and sounds quite so its good for getting away from those fix-it exaust tickets
