Default What front mount do people want?

Was getting ready to start making some front mount kits and was wondering what people are most interested in. Do most people like to retain their impact bumper and run the small intercooler? Do people mind getting rid of the impact bumper and using a larger core? I had in mind a 28" long x 12" high x 3" thick core. How much power are most people making that are boosted? This bigger core would give you much lower intake air temperatures which would make more power. This bigger core will require nothing but removing impact bumper and all piping will fit with no other modifications. Are people wondering what affects there are to removing the impact bumper? I had a car that had one of these intercooler setups in a 100+ mph front impact crash and the intercooler is still intact. So the intercooler basically takes the place of the bumper. Just wanted to see what most people wanted

removing a crash bar is dangerous.
if it didnt have a purpose it wouldnt be there in the first place.

id like to see some big FMIC's made, i know alot of the SRT-4 guys take out there crash bar and put a BMFIC but i think they also make some sort of re-enforcment mod to go along with that...

Do some research and make one that is efficient, has low pressure loss, and maybe some ducting to streamline the the cool air molecules before the enter the heat exchanger.

I wasnt saying there was nothing wrong with the intercooler. Was just trying to explain that when removing front bumper that intercooler takes its place. As for ptuning they do have a large front mount but i believe there is quite a bit of modifications to fit this. This is a direct fit without cutting out parts of the car.

You're making an IC piping "kit" for which turbo kits?

Because we all know that depending on where your turbo is located, the piping requirements will be different.

Also what brand cores are you using?

This was the most ridiculous statement I've ever read.

I think he meant it was in one piece - however it resembled nothing close to an intercooler afterwords..

Im willing the bet the amount of force generated in a 100mph crash would devastate an aluminum intercooler...

Yeah true - but maybe it was compressed to the size of a license plate!
