How much would a hydra p&p standalone run ?

Hydra's will work on 08+ Xb's.
There is no comparison in terms of tunability, safety or reliability between a black box and a Hydra. I really don't think the two are comparable.

 

they will work on the new xb? how hard is the wiring and stuff or is there a harness yet?

Hydra is cheaper, easier to use and will allow full throttle control later on. It also has much tighter resolution in terms of the ignition and fuel maps and is a proven and supported unit as opposed to the AEM which is actually NOT supported or even offered by AEM.

 

Who still sells the hydra unit ? I know zpi did. My fi/c is becoming a pita.

There is no DEAL on a Hydra. Sorry folks but all dealers are mandated to sell for list price. What you can do is purchase one from someone who supports it and can walk you through any questions you may have as well as provide base maps like myself.

x2 looking for legit vendors too.. i checked turbochargers.com and they have it.. hopefully they have it in stock when they tune me, so if any problems i'll just ask them to slap it on and tune it.. but is there an old or new version of the hydra?

 

on Turbochargers.com hydra is listed at 1700 , is that a fair price ?
