Default What should go with low-comps?

Well since I'll be voiding my useless Scion/Toyota warranty when I do level 1-1.5 turbo...

Is it a good idea to open up the engine and install turbo pistons for better engine life? If so, what are good/great brands to get.

Also, what are other good stuff to change/install to make my engine like factory turboed and strong? And also the brand(s) please...

Oh and will this be as "durable" as an OE turbo car and can this run safely on 300- 320WHP even on long drives doing 80+?

Thanks.... If this works, I won't have to worry about the warranty and engine : )!

Dude, you've been on here how long and you still can't use the search button?

ZPI and Dezod both have engine kits for that. I think Turbo Toyotas should be coming out with some soon.

And when your cruizing on the freeway at 80, your not even in boost, so it dont' matter.

It will never be as durable as a stock boosted car. A stock boosted car is designed as a system. But, remember I am comparing a stock boosted car by a comparabe manufacturer. I have yet to see a reliable boosted (or non boosted for that matter) mitsu product besides an evo, for example :p

If you are running that kind of power and want to really do it right, build the bottom end. Rods, pistons, etc. Then clutch for sure.

But anytime you take a car meant to run between 160 and 200 whp and try to push over 300 you are going to lose some reliability and life.

I searched before on "turbo pistons" and all that popped out is a load of not even close topics...

Pistons, valves, gasket, and rods seem like a great idea but is it OK to keep the OE rods or is it a necessity when I change to turbo pistons? I only need the tC to run for 6years before changing or overhauling the engine...

Also, is there a programmable controller that can change the EManage program to performance with 300+WHP or below 230WHP for fuel eco and reliabilty by pressing a few switches? If I could, I'll get on with my turbo project!

if you gonna do pistons, you might as well do rods. Both need to go.
And that "Emanage program to performance..." you're talking about is called a "Boost Controller"
I thought you said you had a bunch of frined with Evo's and STI's? Won't they help you? Or do you annoy them as much as you annoy me?

^^^ They have to program the SBC-i Controller for about an hour or two just to make it run "right"...

And yes, my friends find me annoying sometimes.

yea pistons and rods...possible block sleeve depends on boost (well idn on tc's but i sleeved both my honda blocks when i boosted them) springs in the head for valve float valves and retainers i mean it all depends on what you want. 6psi dont do nethin 14psi then yea 20psi extensive build its all what you want and like everyone said it wont be as reliable as a made for boost car
