If you think a 60-1 has no lag, you should feel a 16 or 20G.
If you think a 16G has no lag, you should feel a 454.

It gets better then that?

There is no way a 60-1 spools as quick or quicker than a 16G/20G.

Not trying to argue.. just stating how my car preforms.. Maybe its from my EL mani? Or 3" turbo back...

Not a turbo expert. But i know my evo III 16g about the same on my eclipse GSX

Yes for faster spool up, but keep in mind what size is your compressor wheel itself? Mine is still the GT35R size but just smaller housing. I have a 82mm Compressor wheel, 56 Trim, and .60A/R housing and a 84 Trim .7/8 A/R turbine. I will post up the dyno once complete. It will be a little while though cause of the cost of my transmission work!

To the OP the GT35R I have with smaller housings is pimp! Great spool up and still have the potential for mid 500's.

I was thinking the same thing, I think they are only 1.8 or 2.0 but I don't know Mitsubishi that well.

I'm actually in TN but working in Iraq. Once it's done I will post up details and dyno's. I am from SC and still have family maybe I can meet up once I come that way with the car late in the year.

question for the OP, what is your power goal and application for your setup?

or you just want to hear what everyone is using?

Pretty instantaneous. But to get that spool, you have to take a hit in other areas....meaning the top end is not as great. With enough power though if it's a 1/4 mile run, and both cars making the same power, I put my money on the 16G to get there faster. On the interstate though, I put my money on the larger turbo, granted it's a larger than say a 57trim. Put the 20G against a 57trim, and the 57 couldn't catch up till around 120mph. Starting at 40.

Only back when I had the 16G on 7psi of boost. Ironically, the other turbos out there made similar power at the same PSI level. You would have to really get a big turbo to see differences in hp at same boost levels.

16G on 7lbs put down 250whp/260wtq for me back then. If you take a look at some of these other dyno sheets, of cars with similar mods, but the turbo kit was different, they were putting down same power. Like the 57trim on my friends tC dynoed at the same dyno place I did and put down 248ishwhp on 7-8psi. So roughly the same power and boost.

It all boils down to picking a turbo that is within it's efficiency range to be the most effective. And it also depends on whether or not you want the most out of a "Street" car, or the most out of a car your taking to the track.

For the a "street" car I want a turbo that spools fast. For a track car (1/4 mile track), I would still want something that spools fast....BUT I will take a larger turbo as long as I have 2-step to build boost coming off the line.

And of course, Time Attack/Road Race will also have a different turbo that would be beneficial to that environment.
