whats a good engine management

i herd a couple bad things about the aem fic. and i was wondering what is a good engine management to run on? im going to run 10 psi with 700cc injectors complete fuel system.

aem fic and emanage ultimate have good success on the tc.. the fic have some issues but have a fix.

rican_lunatic 02-27-2011 03:09 PM

is the fix threw the tune or its something else that you have to get.

crush02342002 02-27-2011 03:31 PM

trust me when i say that they all have their pro's and con's.

for a cheap and simple to use system id go aem fic.
you want more features go with e-ultimate
want a full pnp standalone that works well with the tc .....get in line, we all have been looking for that one.

rican_lunatic 02-27-2011 03:45 PM

so pretty much the e-manage is a little better the the fic as in feature wise?
yea i know i want to run stand alone system a little to pricey as of now. in chicago there was a tc running stand alone. he said it was amazing investment the best you can get!! lol

crush02342002 02-27-2011 06:05 PM

just seems everyone has a complaint about one managment or another...best advice i can give you is pick an engine managment that has the features you want and find a tuner close by that can tune that managment you have.

how well an engine management system preforms is entirely dependent on the end users tuning and troubleshooting capabilities. i've seen people have great success and failure with every type of ems available for the tc. your best bet is to familiarize yourself with every single manual, guide, or any other resource available for your desired ems. most of the time that people on here complain about an ems running like crap is because they have no idea how to diagnose the problem, which most of the time is something very simple like adjusting st and lt fuel trims.

rican_lunatic 02-27-2011 09:38 PM

true true o so true!! i live in chicago and i went to ams and them f___ said they wont even bother messing with tc's. we got a shop called msp and they specialize in hondas so im not really looking into that direction i know another shop in the area but they just opened and i havent herd anything from there besides a celica that got tuned there and his car was running like s___ and a tc running stand alone system which ran amazing so im guessing im gonna have to wait it out a little bit on that shop and see.

Hit up sp, and for the price of that x1, you can get a pro efi which is basically the same thing with a whole bunch of other options.

I have the Hydra Nemesis 2.6, i've had nothing but great things to say about it in the past year and a half or so anytime something like this comes up. I would def say don't forget about it as one of your EMS options. It also is plug n play, which is huge.
