We just want to be able to offer the scion market a good clutch at a great price and be able to feel good when selling it!

Mike has spoke with us about the CC stuff. As well as we read the thread on here!

Thanks Pete!

What would be your favorite clutch?

I love my Exedy Twin Disk, but most people wont spend that kind of money for a clutch.

Although I have heard something bad from almost every company, the ones with the best track records on SL so far are Clutchmasters and ACT

I bought a Clutchmasters FX400 6 Puck Sprung Ceramic Clutch and i had it installed alittle more then a week ago and i absolutely love it. It engages and disengages extremely fast, and feels very smooth and i hardly notice the difference in stiffness from stock. It is alot closer to the floor but i like it way better. Im MORE then pleased and i would definitely recommend this clutch to any one who wants to upgrade.

I love my ACT TY4-HDMM. Street clutch thats listed as holding up to 499 ft/lbs tq. Great for the street, but you probably want a 4 or 6 puck for racing.

I want to go with an ACT next, ive had 2 Failed CC's and a CC twin disc that sounded like ____. but it worked... lol, Mikes CM twin disc was alot smoother and less noisy than my CC twin. CC is just not quality.

When choosing which clutch to go with I was recommended either ACT or Exedy. Both of these companies seem to have pretty good feedback on SL.

I'm running the Exedy stage II cerametallic clutch which is a three puck design. I just finished the break in and I really enjoy it so far. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for a new clutch.

ya not many other clutches can hold the tq these cars make.... 300+ on 8-10 psi.. now many ppl run e85 and higher boost even on stock motor we need something to gaurantee us to last.

Chris has a Spec Stage 3+ thats lasting, dunno how at 400+wtq (spd_rcr) :/ I had a Spec Stage 3 disc with stage 4 pressure plate that failed on me within 6000 mi (Springs came out of the hub), I than went to a Clutchmasters FX500 (solid disc) and after 2 weeks I made my first pass on the track - it snapped every rivet holding the hub to the disc :/ So now Im on my 3rd clutch since going to manual swap - Im runnin gthe ACT 6 puck sprung hub with HD pressure plate - rated at 499tq. Ive been using this clutch now for 4500 miles and its holding up awesome, no slipping, smooth engagement, and no noise - WHATSOEVER! Im not 100% sure what cause my other 2 failures, but I know the ACT is holding up great! Im planning on RMA'ing the FX500, but I havent had a chance to send it back. Spec just plain told me it wasnt covered under warranty when I called them about theirs :/ Keep in mind, while I was running the spec, I was at only 12 psi on low compression, so I highly doubt I was over the recommended torque...
