Default Who has LSD installed so far ???

For the cost of over $1000+shipping+installation...maybe totals $1,500+ --> is it worth getting it ?? other than to better your acceleration/cornering, what difference does it make/give?? a whole lotta?? 1/4 time improvements?? would you get it?? I mean im not a daily racer...more like for daily driving and loves performance. (my setup is 3-set NST, fidanza flywheel, clutchmasters FX400(6 puck), DEI exhaust heat wrap, custom 3" downpipe-back piping(catless), HKS HiPower exhaust).

Quaife(expensive) -OR- Phantom Grip(cheap)??? Yes i did a research on these, but it just confused me more...as people are biased on the parts. Some say one is better, but really, its because they have it...so they say its better. Well whats your experience/opinion??

dude you might get more answers in drive train/power forums. also i have a phantom grip and that $hit works.but it will hurt the spider gears dont belive phantom grip. this is my 3rd phantom grip ive had them in my gsr and si and both cars i had the same problem with the spider gears but after 4 years of CRAZY abuse and second b series transmision are garbage(weak) so maybe i might luck out with the scion 5 years)

quaife. Improves 60'. Instead of 90% power going to the driver's side wheel, you'll get closer to 50/50 between the 2, also improving response coming out of an apex with an evener power distribution

The day that Quaife recieved their first shipment of LSD's from Great Britain I had it Overnighted to me and installed the next day. at that point I also replaced the flywheel and Clutch. there is a great deal of difference but i would say this is not one you will truly be able to see on traditional street situations....
I love it the Power transfer is very solid..

just 2 rather large clouds of smoke and some very very bald tires

I would purchase it from Dezod.com, here's a link:

http://www.dezod.com/pd_quaife_limited_slip.cfm

Much better customer service and reliabilty.

I wouldn't have the dealership install it. Too pricey. Take it to a transmission shop and let them do it. Labor rate will def be lower than the dealers. Here's it's about $85 an hour and a job like this will probably pay 8-10 hours.

Got it installed in my spare trans. I'll tell you this car REALLLY needs it with as much torque as it has. Turbo guys should consider it a requirement. I should have it in the car hopefully this month sometime. Waiting for Exedy clutch for it.

My buddy Ed (EddNog) tells me that 1lb of saved flywheel weight equals 20lb of body weight, or something close to that.

But I can tell you one thing for sure. That damn flywheel makes a huge difference in his car. He's N/A and I'd be afraid to race him with F/I.

That flywheel is easily my next upgrade.

Hey Paul have they said 3 months for sure on the lsd? I was going to order from you guys in a couple of weeks and get it put on in August. If they won't send it to you guys sooner than 3 months I've got Charles checking on getting one from me from a source that he has.
