I don't disagree that manuals are more fun, but my point was that autos have their purpose in race application as well.

 

Jeff's auto gave up at 300WHP. Autos need much more work. Depends on the car I guess.

 

i dont disagree. they absolutly have their place in racing. But on a built street car they have no place. They are not cheap when it comes to making them take that kind of power.

 

and you dont use a supra tranny. all im saying is dont do this kind of stuff to your street car automatic. waste of time IMO

i dont think anything is a waste. if its what the person is into then so be it.. if u like modding and ur stuck with an auto then do the best u can. ive been taking the auto beating for 2 years now getting picked on.. funny when stupid manual cars like srt-4's and z's think im a joke and then i make them look stupid. w.e ill do what i want with my auto!

Seriously, absolutely nothing wrong with autos... also, when we are all old as hell and can't push a racing clutch in with our brittle bones we can still mash a throttle just fine
