Is there really a need for a wideband AFR gauge after you have been tuned?

Yes AFR gauges is a mandatory one to have. You do want to see whats going on with your ratio at all times.

 

with a good enough tune though you will almost never have to look at your afr gauge. so if your tuner is the best in the nation....then no you dont always have to have one. but if your skeptical then yes, it is one the the best early detection systems for engine failure.
