ok so, im in the market for a Wideband AFR gauge to go with my turbo kit.
im a little confused on just what one i should be purchasing.
i have seen alot of people with AEM UEGO 6 in 1.
and at a price of $289...i guess thats not bad.

then there is the Innovate DB gauge for $269...seems like one of the cleanest and from reviews one of the best out there.

and then there is this Speedhut Revolution Wideband gauge, that can actually be CUSTOMIZED...(i.e Face color, glow, text and graphics, font and bezel color)
for about $127-$140. i guess the only down side to this gauge is that it does NOT have a digital display showing exact AFR in numbers.

so if anyone can please help me out...tell me exactly what the diffence is and why there is such a price jump from Speedhut - AEM - Innovate?

 

AEM by far is the best. Most accurate numbers, Digital display not a little needle telling you if your rich or lean..

Gotta pay to play, Don't boost on a budget!

 

Not true, Im getting rid of my AEM because its not accurate ill be going to the NGK Wideband.

 

^ ok this is the kind of posts i was looking for... feedback on gauges and those who own/sold/know about Wideband gauging

i fully understand that you have to pay to play when boosting...but you can also choose to be smart and save a few $100 on little things.

i was planing on the Innovate gauge, then a friend linked me to the Speedhut guys. its affordable. customizable and seems like a quality product...but its the needle reading that i am worried about. but if i can get the AFR in the "ball park" range, i should be fine...right?

 

the AEM is customizable in that you can choose white black faces and silver or black bezel.
Whatever you do, just get one with a digital readout. I like that the AEM has the digital redout AND a digital "needle".
But mines not installed yet.

 

The Speedhunt is a gauge and it does NOT come with a sensor. It says it is setup to use an innovate lc1 which is another $175+. I personally would go with the AEM or another option is the Tech Edge units (www.wbo2.com). They are a little more expensive but there are more options for gauges and they can do so much more (basically it is a data logger also). You can also recalibrate the sensor so to keep the readings accurate even as the sensor gets older and changes its characteristics. I currently have a Tech Edge with AFR, EGT, throttle position, and RPM all with one display. They are a little more technical so I would not recommend it to someone who is not technically inclined. Also if you wanted to save money and if you know how to solder then they have DIY kits you can build yourself (this is what I did). Otherwise I would go with the AEM for an easy plug and play unit.

better recheck your data there bud. Innovate by far is thie best and most accurate.

 

Here is a good O2 sensor/controller shootout from a month or so ago. The Innovate they tested is not the one listed in the OP but a upgraded one. The results are similar.

Also I heard that race gas eats away at the AEM sensor, not sure how true this is but thats just what I heard.

 

im pretty sure its cause its leaded. it clogs the sensor.

The AEM is great. Don't worry about that.
