Is your motor a leaf blower too?
I checked a few 2AZ-FE motors and they all blow a crazy amount of air out of the oil cap when you unscrew it while the engine is running. This positive crank pressure is the cause of many issues like the S/C seals blowing and turbos pouring oil into the exhaust. Any ideas on why these motors have so much crank pressure?
yea i think its the crappy Kentucky assembly of the head thats giving us these issues. I am part of Gompka's engine build and even after putting in rods pistons rings and boring the thing out, we still get that crazy leaf blower like pressure out of the oil cap, we didnt touch the stock head assembly. I have a 07 Tundra as well and you could put a napkin over the oil fill hole and it will just sit there .... it was made in japan.........
they did compensate for the pressure by attaching the rubber line from the valve cover to the stock intake pipe. i would suggest a catch can hooked up the the intake from both holes on the valve cover, no PCV. then a line to the intake or the turbo inlet pipe. i didnt have one for two years on my car but finally invested in one and it helped me alot. but yea, im on a 9:1 90mm Wiesco and K1 rods and still have posi pressure.
Just checked a scion xA which has a japan motor, there is a little bit of air coming out but nothing close to what the TC motors do. We are getting all the valves lapped and the 8 exhaust valves replaced to the rev stainless (ty dezod) .. im thinking this is the cause because having brand new rings, im eliminating that as a cause. Only way u can get crank pressure is blow by or the valves letting air into the head.
lol I like to listen to all of the camrys, scions, and highlanders when I walk through downtown Chicago and most of them tick ... i think its the valves because the only other thing it could be is bearings, rods, or pistons, but i dont think 60 year old women would have this issue lol. Does anyone who has had their valves changed to stainless and lapped still have this issue?

LOL GHETTO! Im hoping getting a good valve job will fix this ... we are only changing the 8 exhaust valves because we came to the conclusion that the stock valves swell from the added heat from boosting which can also make the metal of the valve soft making it mushroom and the 8 intake valves get cooled by the air/fuel mixture so they should be fine. All the times I have had to adjust the valves , it was the 8 exhaust valves that needed adjusting. 2jz-ge/gte motors have the same system but they have shims under the buckets so you change the shims instead of the whole bucket and they rarely have issues. Just looking on YouTube, the amount of turbo scions spewing out white smoke after WOT is ridiculous.

Hmm, so I guess it may depend on the year. '05-06 not specified but I assume by exclusion it's exempt from fact :

2007+ versions of the 2AZ-FE engine were upgraded with 9.8:1 compression ratio, a slightly more aggressive intake cam profile, 6500 rpm red line, and piston oil squirters. Rated at 161 hp (120 kW) they are considered slightly underrated based on dynamometer measurements, and are made in Japan for MY2007-10 Scion tC.

some air/oil coming from your oil filler is normal, its just a little blow by. getting a valve job won't help it, its gasses passing by the rings.
as for the engines, tC's come complete from japan.
