Default ZPI Turbo-other required mods

To anyone who has the ZPI stage 1 turbo- Are there any other modifications that you must do to run the ZPI turbo or does the kit come with everything you need?

For the actual turbo install, it should have everything you need. But then you have to consider clutch and gages as well. Can get a little pricey....

LoL....stock will last about a week the way I drive. I was actually on a Stage 1 Clutchmasters. Even that only lasted me a good 3 months (with racing every weekend might I add). So, yeah, other than kit, we have:

Gauges
Clutch
Turbo Exhaust
Engine Tourqe Dampner

And stickier tires for racing purpose, as the stocks do you know good on the track.

PS...dosen't sound like a lot extra, but it gets pretty pricey after going F/I.

It should be good, as long as your not doing clutch dumps.

Cuz if any turbo I would buy a zpi stage 0...way less work/parts=less worry, haha. Plus i can hit my 250whp with it....with 6psi, exhaust, and good management I would love to be able to push 8psi with it, but more pipes n intercooler, haha

^^+1 however, though...cheaper it is, yes. But All F/I systems will get more expensive as you get into it. Something is bound to happen, you might need a new tune, you might need a new 02 sensor, etc..etc. not trying to discourage you from going F/I. Just trying to say make sure you can "Pay to Play".

Naw, Stock internals will hold under 300 hp. Most say under 350, but I wouldnt push that high on stock internals... our rods arent the greatest.

I'm just wonderin, how long does everyone think the stock clutch will hold up with ~250wtq but babying it? I'm def going to run a ClutchMasters Kevlar kit but i don't really wanna pull $500 outta my turbo fund to do so just yet. Much rather boost first.

He does have a tC. Lookat his sig... I'm running the turbonetics kit which puts out around 240-250whp. I've been running for about 3 weeks now, so yes it should definitely last at least two weeks. My clutch isn't slipping at all, so I really feel that it will last much longer than you think, provided you don't beat on the car/race regularly.

^^oooopss. Got him confused with Photoshop_xB...LOL.

Babying it (which you will NOT due), would last you a good while. Maybe 4-6 months. But you will not baby it, You know it, I know it, and everyone else that is Boosted KNOWS IT! Therefore, I give you 2-3 weeks before it's trashed.

Then again, maybe not everyone is as HARDcore..

Some comfort. My ol' 02 civic ex held up only 1 month with 190whp on a t25 before it starting slipping, granted however it had 40,000 n/a miles on the clutch to begin with.

But then again, just because it doesen't feel like it's losing grip dosen't mean it won't happen suddenly. Thats how my experience with my civic was. Felt strong 1 second then slipped like hell the next, literally.
