Hi! i just received my kit to do this today and I ordered the reversed LCD screen. is the film to do this for the hvac supposed to be as small as the one for the gauge cluster? I only ask because the film i received only covers half of the LCD screen for the HVAC
|
The new film must cover the whole screen, same as stock.

It's either I've included the wrong film or you might've added film for the gauge cluster odometer LCD... Thanks.. |

Can i just switch out the lights and not bother with the resistors? I did it with the gauge and it worked just fine, the Leds were still super bright.
|
bump for answers?
|
Still waiting for an answer
|
doing the lights tomorrow so i would love some answers
|
Yes, you don't need the resistors BUT they will make white/blue/green LEDs much brighter. I did the white led swap w/o resistors and I'll be swapping in the resistors soon to brighten it up.

Sorry about no problem, seems like Scionlife doesn't send me e-mail notification much lately..... I didn't get to see it till today...
Resistor/Voltage Regulator is not required for red LED conversion But if you are doing blue, white and green LED they are required (if you don't use them then it will be very dim) |
Summer is almost here!!!
Kind of slow around the forum.. LEDmod.com is still around... |
