Just saw them in my Crutchfield magazine. I like the design and price in the CDA-9886

I like the look of em but they are really getting skimpy on the features.
You only get a 2 band eq? WTF is this a radio from 1979?

Im used the old school radios that didt have so much crap in em. I dont use HD radio (i dont know anyone that does) XM or Sirius and will propbably never use the Audyssey.

I wish deck manufactures would go back to EQ's,crossover slopes, and more features for better sound instead of adding alot of stuff that is hardly used

the old 9813, 9815, 9833, and 9835's were probably their best units ever made. they should not have stopped making them. if they still did i would have one in my car right now.

yeah I have a 9815 and wouldn't trade it for any of the new units.

They need to make another "dead head" other then the F1

keep in mind that the radio your looking at is only $300. The radios with more eq options have always been in the higher price bracket. I have a 9855 which used to be top of the line, it has all the eq, x over, and time alignment options. But it was in the $500 price point. If you want the options, you gotta pay for them!

but i agree that alpine has been charging the same amount of $$$ but getting less. Take a look at their $200-250 units, only 16w rms per channel! 2 years ago for that same price you'd get the higher powered 18w/ch internal amps. Sure it's only 2W, but the fact is, Alpine is charging more for less. Not cool.
