My wife got an '06 Scion tC with the standard HU.

I bought the iPod HU off eBay, as well as the cord. (ended up with 2, actually). I have the HU installed, but I CANNOT FIND the cord underneath the center console to hook my cord in to. I poked all around and found nothing. All I see is a small white plug that does not match the size of my plug.

What am I doing wrong???

The cord you've posted a picture of, is the iPod customer cable. It connects to the iPod socket in your center console. IF you don't have the iPod socket in the console (to the left of the AUX jack), that means that you don't have the iPod console cable installed. THIS cable is what connects to a white plug inder your shifter, the other end gives you the iPod socket. You need to pull three panels/covers off to install the console cable: the cover that has your climate control switches etc, then the one that has your cigarette lighter and shifter, then the one that has the cupholders. You said you have two cables, maybe you already have the console cable (it has a socket where your iPod cable from the pic fits in to). Hope this helps.

 

So there are THREE cords??? HU to center by shifter, center by shifter to center console, then that plugs into the iPod? I haven't read that anywhere online.

What's the part number for the middle one then? Because I have the iPod wire hooked into my HU, and I have the one that hooks into the iPod.

 

I hate to be the one to say this..but use the "Search" button. Usually I will help...but I did a quick search and found the part numbers within the first search page using "ipod cable".
