Default 05 headunit question

ok i seriously tried searching so if its been asked before i'm sorry. I just got an 05 TC and I love it except the volume button and i noticed in 06 and 07 models they have a **** for the volume and i would prefer to keep the interior stock looking as far as radio is concerned. So is it possible to swap a 06/07 headunit in with a 05 one? thanks ahead,

o and as is im just looking for the nicer headunit im not worried about the ipod connectivity, just the nicer headunit.

I do not believe that will work. From what I heard the harnesses are different...why change it though? My GF has that unit in her 06 xB and I CANNOT STAND the volume ****...you have to turn it 1000x just to get it to move up or down...her and I agreed that the older unit (in my TC) is ALOT easier to use...food for thought...

it is possible. you can even swap the steering wheel remote controls too.

the harnesses have been the same throughout toyotas since like 1987, so i wouldnt see why it wouldnt fit.

only thing you won't have is the plug in your '05 for the steering wheel control (unless you install one like i can), the aux, and the spd input for the uhm.. what was it called.... ASL feature?

but yeah... it'll work.
