Default 05 Pioneer CD changer crap!

I have an 05 tc with the 6 disc. Today one of the discs refused to eject. Error 3. Took the head unit out of the dash and tried to find a way to manually eject this disc. Now the head unit thinks it is loaded with 6 discs and won't allow loading or ejecting.

Weezer, I will miss you.

Anyone know of a way to "reset" the CD player to make it realize that it is only holding a single disc?

As it stands now, I have a 6 disc player, out of warranty, that won't load or eject any discs. I'm thinking of replacing it with a newer Scion unit. Anyone have a cheap stocker to get rid of in working condition. The newer the model the better?

Tried that. I could see the CD in the bottom of the changer but no luck getting it to come out. Now the changer thinks it's full even though there is only a single disc in it.

why not just hack the unit apart? Using wire cutters? i mean wire cutters to cut apart the changer mechanism inside the unit, once you take it apart. You should be able to get the CD out without hurting it, but you would destroy the headunit in the process.

CD is stuck in slot number 6. Way at the bottom of the changer. If I do end up replacing it I will hack it apart to get my CD back.
