Default 08' owners?

I heard you guys' 08's have stock subwoofers. Anyone took photos yet? Cause I'm wondering what it looks like. I was looking through the Scion catalog last night and saw in print that the '08s have standard subwoofers. I also heard its in the spare tire compartment?

Thanks!

yea, its on the right side of the spare.. under the floor matt... its a sub inside a box you cant see it, it hits pretty hard for a 6" sub.

The bass isn't bad, considering how small it is. It's enough that when I have the volume at just 20-25, it shakes my mirrors o so slightly. The ASL is pretty neat too, adjusts it so I can still hear my mandarin R&B without having to change the volume myself. Needless to say, more shaking mirrors on the highway due to the ASL...

It's missing quite a few frequencies down low, but it does hit quite hard for a 6" sub, like everyone is saying. If you turn off SSP altogether, on certain tracks it shakes the rearview mirrors..... quite a bit actually. I was listening to She Wants Revenge on it, and it seems they use the exact frequency the sub is strong in, and you can't see anything on the mirrors due to shaking.

thanks

I managed to score my brother's Rockford-Fosgate sub from his '08 Lancer. I can't install it standing up like it was in the Lancer. I might have to put it sideways on the passenger side. My cousin is wiz at car electronics; I know for sure he can find a way. I want extra boom but not to the extreme. Already deaf as is; don't need to be more.

Anyone know how the stock sub is wired in? I have someone willing to sell me his sub but doesn't want to tear the whole car apart to get the harness. Does it run all the way up the the back of the stereo or is it just spliced into the rear speakers?
