I got the stock radio that comes with the 08 xBs' and got the XM Satellite with it too... i tried to play my iPod the other day and nothing happens... when i connect the iPod to my AUX connection, everything goes quiet, you don't hear anything from the FM stations or the satellite or a CD... can I not play my iPod with this radio??? do i need an adapter or something??

yea, the radio has the "AUX iPod" button on there... do you know where and what kind of wire harness I would need?

did you try pressing the AUX button again? if that doesn't work.. you're SOL.

they changed the wiring in the '08+ for the AUX and iPod to share the same harness. it was not like that prior.
you need to get the wiring from an '08+ vehicle.

 

yea i press the AUX button and no dice.. nothing happens with or without the iPod connected...

so it will be a lot of work in splicing wires and whatnot just to get the iPod to work??? i think ill just stick with the xm sattelite radio then...

 

ok bigtime thread revival! i cancelled my subscription to xm and now want to try to get this iPod working on the premium radio i got.. forgot to mention that it is a scion pioneer premium HU that i got for my 06 tC.. now, i have p/n PT546-21062 and think i need p/n PT546-21061 to connect to the harness where the shifter is at then from there, it connects to the cable i have now? do i got this right? if so, anyone know where i can get p/n PT546-21061??

yea i have that radio. my stock sterio harness connects to those three clips/connections in the back of the radio already and the one plug that goes connected to the bottom left connection runs down to the center console, right next to the shifter assembly. i need the plug that goes plugged into that connection thats in the center console... ill take a pic of which conection im talking about and post it up in a bit... if you know what im talking about and have it, send me a pic and more than likely ill get it from you!
