Default 09 premium radio in my 06, little problem >= (

Installed a 09 premium radio! Everything went smooth, plugged all right in.. Only problem was my car didint have the ipod thing in center counsel, only the 3.5mm audio input.

When i try using this i get nothing, when i press the ipod/aux button on radio it does nothing. I had some friends say it was a bad 3.5mm cable. I swapped with there working one and nothing!

Any ideas? Any solutions

when you plugged in the 3.5mm cable, did you have it hooked to a source like a cd player/mp3 player/ipod? and was that turned on? I know on mine the aux won't even come on (on the radio) until it senses an audio signal in the aux port.

My guess is no. I think you need a different oem harness(one that has the ipod and aux in).

get that I had a t1807 in my 07 tc just swapped for t1808 from 08. And my aux wasn't working w my iPod just iPhone.
Well purchased that cable (it plugs from back of head unit and cable is long enough to go to armrest if needed.)
yeah that cable allows steering wheel and hu to control iPod and charges it.
Hope that helps.

had this exact same problem about a week ago. found that it would only work if the device i was using was plugged into a power source. luckily i had a spare USB universal car charger laying around. works great now. you can get one on ebay for less than 2 bucks if you don't have one.
