Default 1/2 DIN CENTER SPEAKER

I hadnt really seen or heard of others doing this so thought I would post the pic of my system...I have a clarion dxz-765 head unit with the multi color adjusting face which I set to amber to match the rest of the interior lighting, I also installed in the pocket underneath it a 1/2 din center speaker which I am using signal from front rca jacks which I split to my 4 channel amp and the 25 watt amp powering the center speaker, it fits to the cm and I thought looks pretty good. As for the sound, since I have 4 6.5" MB Quarts I feel the extra highs help balance it out since I play it pretty loud, I have included pics of the rest of the system as well. All in all I think I did okay for installing everything myself. Since I did it all , I think it only fair I get all the cred unless you think its bad install then I get all the blame too....Oh the last pic is of the crunch 800 watt amp that powers the mids through the rear windsheld just to show you what others see at night behind me since the amp has 2 light up digital readouts (looks nice at night)

Why have a center channel speaker without video? Don't the fronts overpower the center? Sorry for questioning your setup, but center speakers are mainly for 5.1 audio.

I agree wth this. A ceter channel with out a processor for it, will make yoursoundstage sound rather odd.
You normally have front and rear, left and right. In stereo all the spekers are going to receive different sound, based on how it was recorded.
If you ad a center channel, that is just te sound from left and right combined, you wont have a defined left and riht sound.

Ever hear songs where yo have dialog and someone to the left of you is talking to someone on the right of you?
You can tell where the sound is coming from. But splitting this signal, the person will now both be in front of you.

Good job, but I will suggest getting a dolby digital sourond processor.

welllllllll , actually it aint 5.1 for video. I just have a thing that I only wanted audio in the ride, not video. Anyway as for the sound...sounds great!!!! I understand that for people in the back seat it probably makes no difference but then again no one ever sits in the back. Basically my issue was I had the 4 mids pushing hard and the tweeters just werent balancin them out for those real clear highs. The 1/2 din center speaker gave me just alittle extra oomph so when I was crankin the system up, it wasnt just mids and bass but also some highs. After all I do have 2 fosgate stage 3 12"s runnin off a fosgate T10001BD amp and they hit sooooo hard my sunroof shade sometimes flips open cause of too much bass (I luv that). As for who makes the center speaker, there are 2 manufacturers 1) Clarion model SRK 5 (no longer making it but can still get on eBay) & 2) Pyle model CRK 5 .... THEY ARE EXACTLY SAME JUST DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER STICKER ON THEM. So anyways I thought this was good use of empty space below my headunit to squeeze out some more sound.
