Gah lol, that looks like the cover that covers the sub. Anyways how does it sound? I don't have a tC, I have a gen 2 xB. Does the tC's stock sound system sound better than the xBs?

LOL agreed 6" sub is pretty small. I'm surprised they didn't make it at least an 8" sub (most cars these days come with 8" or 10" subs).

Guess it all comes down to money.

It isn't bad if you dont like loud bass but for me it was no good. But it held me over until I could afford to get new stuff

Did it have enough thump so that the dirty south bass in rap songs or stuff like in bass mekaniks song could shake the rear-view visor?

There is no way a 6" OEM sub will shake anything.

For the money they want for it, you are WAY better off getting something simple like a single 10" and amp and installing it yourself.

I dunno man, my mom's Camry if you turn it up the music a lot, it shakes the rear visor as well as the side view mirrors (if you're listening to something bassy like Dirty South Rap or Bass Mekanik).

Yea but for the price you would pay to get this new from the dealer you could get a decent setup for alittle more and it would sound better.

my bro have this in his car. its pretty nice. sounds really good. until you try a decent sub :DD

its not bad. some ppl dont care about loud music. like me... i hate when i cant even hear the music but the bass is so loud that my ear starts to bleed. Plus the owners think their system sounds good like that. i think is crappy as hell. i got a single 12 inch sub.. with box is like $200... perfect for me. for my wife.. this oem 6" sub would be more than enough.

I'm the same way, I'm more of a sound quality kind of guy. I love bass don't get me wrong, but I like being able to hear the instrumentals (like th drums, and beats, highs, etc.) Everything needs to be balanced on a good sound system. I'm thinking that is how the Factory 08+ scion tCs are.

Well there is really no place in an xb to put it.

I replaced it with 2 10s and they hit pretty hard and they still dont over power the stock speakers.

LOL what do you mean there are plenty of places where one could put a factory sub in a gen 2 xB. You do know the Japanese xB (the Corolla Rumion has a sub, check it out:

Yea but the sub is mounted on that box in the pic, there is no good place in the xb to put it unless you take the sub off, which there is no point in doing that when you can get a much nicer sub for cheaper

Bro the Japanese xB's sub is mounted on the wall, when you watch the movie, you see that they added 3 extra speakers on the Rumion.

The original six speakers are in the same location as on the American xB (2 tweeters in the front, and then a speaker on each door). However, being in America, Scion decided to cut corners and not put the same sound system that is in the Rumion.

I'm jealous that tCs have a subwoofer and xBs don't.
