6x9's in front?
Not only is there NO room for 6x9's, you shouldn't use oval speakers at all (5x7, 6x8, 6x9).... the difference in length of the radius of the cone will make it stronger in some points than others and allow it to flex causing distortion... circular speakers have the same cone radius all around making them more uniform if/when they attempt to flex....
look at it this way.... take a 3/4" dowel that's 6inches long.. if you try to break it, it'll be more difficult to break than a 3/4" dowel that is 3 feet long would be... although they're the same thickness, the longer one is easier to bend/break

If what your sayiin is right, I should use 8" mids instead?
I'm not trying to win any sound competion.. just want clearer mids without having to overdrive the speakers..
I hve a pair of brand new Alpine 6x9's that 'm going to try and fit tomorrow.. if I can get them to work I'll let yall know.
