Default Adding satellite radio

We bought our tC 2 days ago and just got the stereo installed today. Its the the t1806, with the iPod adapter. I know that it is XM ready from the factory according to the book, but I want Sirius. Now obviously the stereo is made by Pioneer, so does that mean a reciever made to connect to a Pioneer HU will work? Example:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qoHB4N4...0&I=130SIRPNR2

Not to mention its cheaper than the toyota XM version.

The tuner you are looking at is for aftermarket Pioneer units. They connect using Pioneers IP bus data cable. The factory Pioneer head units don't have the IP bus input, they use a different plug.

The free XM trial is through XM. Call XM, and give them the radio ID of the 6800, and that should work. You can't transfer hardware like that, but you will need an xm adapter for aftermarket pioneer units.

You don't take anything out of the old car. You keep your new radio, and buy a Pioneer GEX-P920XM (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...617510,00.html). If you need one, I can send one your way (PM me for a price).

For the radio, I have my prices on my website - www.ledmods.net.
