Default Advice on speaker set-up from Best Buy!

I work at Best Buy and I talked to the my buddy in the Car Audio department and this is what I got so far:

Pioneer head-unit: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134702498296

Front Infinity 2.5": http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392384331

Rear Infinity 2.5": http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392384625

Infinity Amp: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1140392384101

Now, the whole cost for all parts, wires, dynamat, and installation is $700.

if you work there, then get some sort of Navi/DVD at employee price. if you dont like it, you can sell it for most likely more than what you paid for and get the HU in the link.

The headunit is pretty good. Not sure about the speakers as I think they are lowest on infinty's line behind the Kappa and Kappa Perfect. But I sure it will all sound good.

I dont think there is much difference b/t the 2. You can get the 6800 off of ebay for a little under 200.

i don't know how it works at best buy but where i work we get employee accomodation on all pioneer products, through pioneer, because we sell their home audio and video stuff. when we buy it we get a HUGE discount, usually about half off, and we have to sign a form saying we won't sell it for a year. i plan to stick to this. ppl taking advantage of a discount is why most places don't offer good discounts and it ruins the market. you guys do what you want but remember that next time you realize your company discount is only 10% off.

Yeah i was going to say, go to the accomodation page on ETK and look under the home theater section. click the link for the JBL accom and you can get the infinity kappa perfect setup for CHEAP. i got my infinity kappa perfect VQ 10: sub for well, i cant really say, but it was about 70% off of retail....

for the price on the HU, i would go with Alpine! I love them and havent had any problems with my HU. as for the rear speakers, (and alot of ppl will agree with me) dont do it. I dont hear my rears at all! my components up front is all i hear. trust me its a waste. Although other seem to say they like it? But just IMO?

correct!!! Get a good amp reading about 2x100 rms and those comps should sound really clean.

you know pioneer makes a kit that will recess your radio an additional 10mm. I think it's a new cage and trim ring. anyway it's like 17 bucks on the web and 25 from pioneer. the part number is AD-GA10. it will solve your door issues i think. i about to buy one for my avh-p5700dvd so i can put my door back on.
