Aftermarket seats and the aibag light
I've already read most of the forums about this...but I haven't seen any pictures...Does anyone have pictures on how this should look like...the whole process and afterwards...I have the side airbags too....Thanks!

I went to the RX7 site and a guy had pictures posted.......basically undo the battery......and put a 5 ohm resistor in one side of the yellow plug and bend it over and put the other end in the other side to complete the circuit........reconnect battery and good to go.

What year is your TC xtina88verrucktkuhl ? It matters because 2007 sensors are different from the earlier years. Mine's an '07 and I installed a pair of Sparcos-----it wasn't easy as I first thought. The resistor-part is easy as nothing, but taking out the other sensors (esp. the front occupant sensors) turned out the most laborious.
So what year is yours? Oh, I don't have the SRS light now and I did have the side airabgs in my oem seats.

Like BZinn1 said, just buy two 5ohm resistors and plug one onto each yellow plug. Just bend the ends into a U and carefully plug it in. BUT disconnect your battery first.
For the driver's seat you have to disconnect the seat position sensor...pretty straight-forward. Just make sure you have the tools avail. Afterwhich just re-plug everything and then stick the seat position sensor onto the same general location under the new seat (it's magnetized so you can easily stick it on a metal surface).
As for the passenger, it gets really crazy. As with the driver's seat, you'll just have to put in the resistor onto the yellow plug. But you have to take out the occupant sensors---yes, sensors. There are four of them, one on each corner. You have to literally dismantle the base to get them out. You'll need a pair torx head drivers (I'll tell you what size, they're at home) and you'll need an impact gun coz it's really, really tight. A can of WD40 will help too. Once off just reconnect all the plugs back.

Ok, good stuff.....
I actually put my seats in a few months ago...I don't know about the passenger sensorS. I just reconnected everything back except the yellow plugs which just lie underneath both seats. So, from here....same steps...oh and one more thing...I don't have the OEM seats. heh.

Oh yeah I forgot about the passenger seat occupant sensors.......they take a bit of work to get out of the seat but pretty easy none the less
the little box under the seat that is attached to the frame is I beleive the seat position sensor.....jsut take that out as well and screw it to the new seat frame.
From what I under stand at least on the RX8s is the airbags in the rest of the car still work, just not the seat ones........not sure if this carry's over to our system.....
