Default Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge

Hey guys i have a glowshift air/fuel ratio gauge and when i took it to get installed they said it wouldnt work and id need some kind of adapter or sensor? It came with the adapter from glowshift but they still said it woudlnt work...anybody know why. Wideband gauges are so damn expensive i really dont want to put out that kind of money for 1 gauge.

you need the O2 sensor bung...not too many companies actually give it with the gauge, i believe only AEM and Autometer do. It is about 90 bucks. It ain't cheap. My autometer A/F gauge cost around 350 with everything...not cheap by any means.

Like Buddah said.

the glowshift gauge reads off of a 0-5v signal from MOST cars o2 sensors. this will not work on the tC.
You need a wideband a/f sensor.

where can I find this o2 sensor bung? I'm about to order an Autometer Phantom Air/Fuel ratio gauge, and it says it works with most cars factory narrow band o2 sensor. Wtf is the diff between wide and narrow band and what do I need to buy?! Confused!
