how can you not like alcantara? that's professional racing seat material that keeps you in the seat.. comfy as hell.
i'd be willing to spend $1K for it.. but that's low-balling because i'm broke... even so.. i can't afford that much.

Professional Racing Seat Material? I'm sure in a "Professional Racing Seat" it will hold you in better, but with a full suspension and 245 R-Compounds, the material doesn't make a difference if it's still on a stock seat. AMHIK. Also, how about because the stock seats wrapped in that material look like crap?
I'll take the stock fabric over the RS2 seats anyday, at least they won't make you sweat like you're in a sauna. Plus, they're not such an eye-sore with not having any contrast across the entire seat, they look like you bought a "tYpE ARRR JDM y0!!1!1" seat cover from (insert crappy local automotive shop here)
BTW I'm speaking from experience from sitting in them in an RS2 at my dealership when I went in for the wind deflector applique recall. But I'm sure someone out there would like them, if you did a core exchange with the stock seats, I dunno, $250? if sold the entire seats seperate, I dunno $500?
If you like em, keep em. If you don't, replace them with real race seats that have something called "Lateral Support" and sell the stock ones to the highest bidder.

also keep in mind that this is the same material used in the Sti WRX and Audi S line of vehicles. i have had mine for 3000K mi and i love them. they NEVER GET HOT. im not sure where that came from. suede doesnt get hot, genuine leather gets hot.
Please keep this post going. i value everyones feedback. thanks guys
I have an RS2 as well and I do agree that some contrast would have been nice. The black kind of makes the entire interior flat and the I don't like the side panels and arm rest not being seude as well. However the material is uterly amazing. I had never sat in a seude seat before I owned this car but the material does not get hot or cold and it makes the seats feel a lot softer. Just my 2 cents.

if your willing to be that stupid to spend 1k dollars on those "FAKE SUEDE" seats i have a bridge in london i can sell you.
and professional race seats on not made from "alcantara" if you knew anything about alcantara you would know its a synthetic bi product and is made to reproduce real suede. Its fake suede for cheapos.
if you wana spend 1k dollars on a real racing seat get a set of recaros, brides, vision techinicas or status's...

excerpt from a review for the STi:
"The interior features unique items such as front sport bucket seats; Alcantara leather upholstery with suede inserts; soft leather with red stitching on the steering wheel, shift ****, and parking brake handle; and a 9,000-rpm tachometer for those wound-out back country runs."

excerpt for a bmw 330i review:
Still more comfort awaits the driver inside, where the thick M-style steering wheel, all seats, and a cut-down, short-throw shifter are swaddled in Alcantara, just like in a racing car.
YAWNS what else you got? you know how I know that it was alcantara also, is because I went to buy the car wit her...

second...of course they are gona refrase it the way you copied it.. its so ppl like you who can comprehend a sentence can think to themselves "OH IM GETTING LEATHER AND SUEDE" when your really getting a fake leather and fake suede like alcantara in the tc's...THAT HOW THEY SELL CARS SMART ONE!
anyone with good knowledge knows REAL RECARO DESIGNED SEATS ARE REAL SUEDE not ALCANTARA.. and when ever you see alcanta THATS FAKE SUEDE..
so please re-read you quote from a website because you just proved me right.. recaros use real suede..in combination with a semi fake leather.. dam man.. read recacos site..sheeh!!

When I went to go buy the beemer with my aunt it specifically said alcantara SEATS, so what you are trying to say is they cheated us and gave us suede instead right
