I just got it put in today but I haven't had the time to take pictures. I will tomorrow or sunday though. They didn't make my steering wheel control work though... The gap on the side is starting to bug me too...

I work for bby in mobile install (till I get a real engineering job). I'm looking at the iva-w200 for my xB as well...I also want to get the blackbird and hook it up with that cradle for navigation. Then sometime down the road find a PXA-H701 and have an out of control system.

tikbhoy...there are multiple models of avn for eclipse...which one are you selling? One of our installers can get me employee price from circuit on the 5435 which is cool...but I'm an xm man and eclipse is only sirius...plus the alpine ipod interface is the best out there. The only eclipse I would think about is the avn6600 which isn't even out yet...but that is a sweet unit.

Also to all you buying alpines...definitely get the PAC-SWI-ALP...it works soooo much better than the universal one with the IR eye (that thing is a biotch to program).

Also, yes, the Infinity accomodation is off the hook...I want the 1200 W and the 4-Ch...and maybe some Kappa Perfects just for fun

As for all you wanting to know the employee price...it's good...but if any of us tell you, it would be instant termination for us if they found out...you never know who's lurking on here. Now, if I were to say go look at ebay prices, and imagine our prices being significantly less...you'd have a general idea...but we get the full warranty and a-stock product.

Best buy isn't the best place to work...but boy the discounts are sweeeet!

invisible21 - Are you sure the swi-alp works with the IVA-W200? If so, I'll go buy it and get rid of the swi-x cuz it's delayed and sometimes it doesn't work cuz it's ir...

yes, it will work with the iva-w200...it'll work with any alpine unit that has a mini-jack input on the back and I just checked the owners manual online and the w200 has it.

Doesn anybody know why Alpine ditched the amplifier link feature? I'm using it with my v-12 amp and cda-9855 and it is awesome...why would they get rid of such a great feature?

Bump....I am getting the HU as well....when I get my MSCE but that should be in a couple of months. How much is it at BB? I have a brother in law that I can contact and get it, but online I have found it for ~750.

Cost+5% (Best Buy Employee Price) is $650. I got that, the Full speed iPod adaptor $15, Wiring Harness $1.12, and xM Adaptor $32, plus picked up the video override off e-bay for 30 some...

All you have to do is drill holes in the stock brackets 1 cm back and you'll be good to go.... works perfect.... I suggest the 00-06 double din toyota trim kit from schoth [SP?] to fill the gaps cleanly on the sides.

YES... and changing settings and such.... it bypasses the sequence that needs to be performed to unlock the video aspect... (it's not just grounding out the parking brake)

It all depends on the products..... You can't get a discount on the pioneer d2, and some of the other audio products... BB hookups are the best, but not for everything.

Ahhh Best Buy... I used to work at store #418 in Holyoke, MA. I was the Product Process Sup there when I left. Hahaha, boy, do I miss that discount sometimes! Granted, it's nothing on computers, but for home and mobile audio and video, and ESPECIALLY on accessories, damn was it good!

Getting back on topic...

So the consensus here is that yes, the IVA-W200 will fit, and you WILL be able to retain the door, correct? And close the door as well?

haha former bb employee as well. so yea when comparing bb products def the alpine stuff is better cause infinity is only reference its mid grade. now i can decide if i want to go with the 200 or just get a single din thinking i would get tired of all the video stuff. it would get old. but i don't know what to do with the extra space. how are alpines amps. im doing the 4 channel and the mono. but i remember last years had the digital readout sucks the new ones dont. def downgrade maybe i can find last years v12

Siiiick, did you just drill new holes in the brackets of the stock radio? I've had a 9857 I bought on discount at my BBY when it came out. Then we got the display unit for the IVA-W200 last month and I was ____ed. So I ordered mine today haha
