Specifically which ones are you talking about? Are your refering to the "triax" design or a component set? Got a link?

^ They suck, imo, stay away. In fact practically any brand/model using that "triax" type design won't sound as good as a component set or even the equivalent coax design. There are very few exceptions and those go for a lot more $.

Is there some reason these interest you, any others you're considering?

Oh, right. Well if you're happy with them, that's what's important. I honestly feel they're not even an upgrade over the stock speakers, from an SQ perspective.

Decent if they're amped. Not so great off deck power...

And we used to see the glue failing on the surrounds or the tweeter assembly falling off back in the day. Cross fingers

I think I saw them at Best buy, but I went and bought the Infinity Reference series instead after hearing them, they just didn't sound as good as I expected. Still is an up grade over stock.

It is hard to describe what sounds good. Over time you will understand. Don't get me wrong, they are better than stock, it is just what you prefer. Plus, it is really hard to decide what they truly sounds like when they are not in your car. The difference between these and what I bought is the ones I bought are 2 way speakers, yours are 3 way. Plus, the tweeter can be angled in the direction you want and it has a switch to control the level of the tweeter.

Pretty much, put them in your tC see what they sound like. This first few weeks they will sound great, then you will probably start wanting a little more out of them. That is when you can determine it. Or listen ot other people speakers. I bout the Infinity Reference speakers for my bothers car. The magnets were way larger than mine, and they had better lows and highs I though.

The biggest thing is getting a new Head Unit. This will help your set up alot.
