Default Amp on Sub Box

If I screw my amp to my sub woofer box do you think it can damage it by vibrations?
I have 3 10" subs and just have no where to put an amp to make it look nice except for maybe on the box thats why I ask.

yea yea...I know mix matching is bad but it sounds good when I hooked it up to my friends truck and I got the two other subs for a steal.

Ill eventually buy the same amp to power the two they are just there for cosmetics at the time being

yea...Its going to be bolted to the body ... and ...the thing weighs about 100 pounds easy ...not to mention its bigger than the exit of the trunk so itll take some nice twisty and turvies to get that sucker out...with much back strain

So you intend to use those three subs together at the same time? Is the enclosure divided into three separate chambers, one for each sub? Have you ever tried to use different brands/models of subs together like that before?

I ask mainly because such systems are almost always problematic, and I'm curious why you made such a choice.

That box looks way to big to fit in the tC's hatch. I had 2 12" kickers in a box & it couldnt fit back there, I had to buy 2 10"s and make a new box.

Its a couple inches off from being snug in there and the box is completely separate from each other with each subs
The w6 box is a little bigger than the other two as well.

I had an MTX amp attached to a hatch-back box for 7 years before it finally failed. This survived being moved to 3 cars, and at least 10hours of good hitting a week for the whole 7 years.

The amp finally failed (sparks, smoke and all) a couple of months ago.

So yes, it will eventually damage the amp, but probably not before you get something else.

Mounted to the box didn't necessarily do that....driving is inherently full of vibrations. It could have just finally failed due to hitting bumps in the road too

I've had people tell me that it could damage the amp if it were nounted to the box. Persoanlly I have never had a problem out of any amp I mounted to a box. I have mine there now as a matter of fact. It's been mounted to a box many times in many cars over the last 8 years and is still kickin @ss like is were new. Just my $.02.

hahaha...maybe not 100 pounds but it definetely requires two people to move.
As for the amp its only going to the w6 and will get the same amp to power the other two. I have a one year warranty on all of those pieces thanks to online shopping haha so I am set if it goes bad...unless I over power it which I wont.
