If you can do it with after market HU's as well, I'd be interested. I too thought about the aux port, but now that I have an aftermarket HU, I haven't even tried to see if it'll work.

I would be interested in knowing, b/c when i drive the engine noise drowns out my cell phone conversations when im using the speakerphone...

I'm thinking that you just put the speaker phone in the empty middle console with the top up... the inside plastic sides should amplify the sound... almost like talking thru a paper towel tube.

Oh well engine noise and road noise? I don't know...........I try it while driving. I usually NEVER drive and talk at the same time. Safety reasons. But I'll try it tommorrow for you though see if there is any difference.

Its hard for me to do more than just listen to music and drive. Swerving in and through traffic usually keeps my attention- and I have an auto-matic! (insert any speed freak comment here)

Hate to be the other person online with you when your on speaker phone. Those things are designed to pick up slight noises..................... that would suck for them

Well that was just my guess... you gonna tell us how you managed to amplify the sound of the phone.

I tested it out while driving and it is definitely loud and they can hear you better, 25 mph with out road noise.......... still works at highway speeds but its reported that "Are you driving" comments alot, so I dont advise it.

But i was talking on my phone while I was parked one day and I fumbled the phone into the CUP HOLDER and while it lay there my conversation continued and the volume instantly became louder, like it was coming out of a catherdral hall, and that's how I descovered it.

The phone should be lying completely flat fo best apmlification. This phone isnt mine, but I just realized when I was going to take the picture and post it, that I can't use my camera phone to take the picture of my own phone!

Also another way to amplify the sound is to buy an ear peice.. its amplifies the sound directly into your ear... and the mic. is somewhere on the side of your face.
