Default amps and subs

I've been looking around for some subs and amps. mostly kenwood and performance teknique . is performance teknique made of good quality ? I want 2 amps and 2 12 inch subs. performance teknique has 12inch subs that are 1000watts each. they also have a 2000watt amp. kenwood doesn't have an amp to power the 1000watts amps that they carry.so what should I do?

Elemental Designs? I don't own any of their products, but I plan on doing so, and i'm positive they sell quality stuff.

Take a look at their page.

^^ agreed 100%.... go to www.edesignaudio.com and look at their 13Ov.2.... AWESOME subs!!! after you look around, type "forum" into their search bar and you'll see what great prices you can get just for being a ScionLife member...

Here's what sounds like you should go for:

(2) ED 13Ov.2's D4
(1) ED Nine.1 amp (1200x1@1ohm)

That would SLAM and sound absolutely amazing doing it!!! cost for this looks to be about $585 for amp and subs... then you just need a box and wiring to complete it... WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so 1200watt amp and 2 subs for 600 bucks? how many watts do the subs have? and I need 2 amps.1 for the subs and 1 for the speakers.I already have a box but what I was thinking of doing is buying the parts minus wiring and then getting it installed

subs don't "have" watts... they're rated for what they can take... the 13Ov.2 is rated at 600wRMS but have been known to handle 1200-1500 with ease... in any case, the 2 13Ov.2's and Nine.1 would be loud and sound damn clean!

The amps have free shipping... the subs / components you have to pay for UPS insured but it's not that bad really...

The Nine.4 is a good mid/high amp... what interior speakers do you have?

Right on... A Nine.2 would go well with the eD(i)6500s components for the front... I usually just unhook the rear speakers as I prefer to have imaging and staging as much as possible in my car.

as I said, I prefer imaging and staging... Sound Quality is reproducing the music exactly as the producer intended. When media is mixed, it's mixed into a stereo signal (2 channel)... therefore, in order to accurately reproduce what was mixed, you on'y need 2 channels, front left and front right.

just depends on the store you go to... with wiring and all, probably $100-$150... you'll want to get 2ga or 0ga wiring for sure...

make sure you order the D4 subs if you're getting 2 of them... also, tell your installer that the subs are dual 4ohm voice coils and you want them wired into a 1ohm load on the amp... If you have ANY questions, shoot me a PM

Which amp?

Nine.2 = 100x2

Nine.4 = 65x4

Both are physically 9.85x12x2.25

Nine.1 is 9.85x14.7x2.25

Hop on aim and hit me up if you have any questions.

Ahhhh....that would explain it.

I'd say call, but I'm working on the dish in the car right now so likelyhood of me near the phone in the next hour or so = nil.

These subs and amps they have seem like they are mad nice. I got a question though because I think I'm gonna get this system. If I was to get just one 130v.2, what ohm should I choose 2 or 4, and what amp would go with it to make it slame very nicely?? Thanks
