Another cold cathode question...
Ive searched and didnt come up with an answer so my I installed my cathodes up in the front foot wells, but how do I do it under the seats? Where would I get my power?
Hi, I just installed my cold cathodes this weekend and I too found a problem with installing lights in the backseat... I also have the glowstreet music interface installed into my cathodes and it says that it supports up ro 12 tube Bulbs so all i had to do was rip out my E-brake cover and the transmission cover and run the lines in there...
I don't know how your bulbs are or what setup you have but you can do what i did for power... I got something at PepBoys called
ADD-A-CIRCUIT which is basicly a fuse holder with a aux line that i can add any thing that requires power to it...

it so easy to use all i had to do was find a fuse that is powered on when the car is started and plug it in and thats it... nothign to splice or solder just plug and play... and for your gorund you can also do what i did and follow the DIY FAQ steps for lighting and use the screw in the E-BRAKE for a ground as they suggested...
also what kinda cathode kit did you get, i got mines on ebay for $17 for 4 tube bulbs. The front underdash mounted ok but the two underseat bulbs ended up being wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy toooooooooooooo short to be put under each seat since they both shared the same power supply ... I have 2 of these kits...

I tried to mount them under the seat and it turned out to be a bad idea because when you pull the seat forward or backwards to let people into the back seat the wires would get caught...unless ur willing to mount the lights in the middle of ur seat which would be pointless because hardly any light will light up the back... i suggest getting an additional power supply
If you have the same kit don;t try to extend the wire because it uses high voltage wires and normal wires will cause the tube to not work correctly or not even light up... also don;t try to strech it as far as possble thinking it might just be long enough because i did that and ended up ripping the wires right off the bulb when i pull the seat back...
Anyways I hope that helped you, if you need help, i'll be glad to take some pics when i replace the the broken bulb in my tc this weekend so u can see exactly what i did...
