Default any ideas on where/how to mount a third small amp.

i want to in the springtime try and active front stage. i'll start but using the component set i have and go from there. right now i easily fit both my amps on the little wooden panel right behind the back seats. but i'm not sure where put a 3rd amp of the same height as the other two thats about 12-14 inches wide.

i could also maybe make a whole new setup for mounting them. but i need ideas. the sub box is staying exactly where it is. so i have to work around that.

here is a couple pics, so you know what i'm working with.

any idea of what i could do? i don't really wanna lose my spare tire. that just doesn't seem like a good idea. with my luck, i'd get a flat the day i took it out.

how about on top of the box?

or how about rotating that smaller amp on the left vertically, and sliding the bigger one to the right even more. That should make enough room for another small vertical amp.

try behind one of the rear passenger side panels as others have done on here or remove the foam piece that sits on top the spare tire and build an amp rack (simple circular piece of MDF), then mount it on there. Golden86 has shown with his former right trunk side dual 10" box how easy it is to put the tools into the foam piece on the left. Do a search for Golden86's posts to see.

Try under the carpet in the styrofoam storage area on the right, my PDX fit in there perfectly and my second one will be going in there too. Not to mention, you can't even tell I have amps because the wiring is COMPLETELY hidden under the rear seat and all through the spare tire compartment. How do you go about running an active front stage? Just having the woofers and tweets amp'd seperately? Using the amps LPF and HPF to separate the frequency?

Hope you get it to work!

You could raise the floor height a couple inches so that it's even (level) with the hatch opening. That should allow you enough space to build a rack (either hinged or lift-out, to access the spare) on top of the spare, with plenty of width and depth to hold all 3 amps. It's only practical if your amps aren't too tall (thick), and the wood isn't too thick, but I'm sure it can be done with a lot of amps that aren't over about 2.25" high.

behing the rear passenger cupholder area.

Get some backstaps (depending on how heavey the amp it) or make some metal brackets.

You can weld the metal parts to fit.
Luckily my dad is a welder and we had spare parts.

no pics sorry.
But when I get my 750.1 fixed and installed i will take pics

Haha... I got to you bro :p My second amp went in today, all wired up and running, just need to get my box in tomorrow and mount the sub :D

Those damn little remote turn on leads are such a PITA!!!! I broke my lead that was screwed into the PDX 3 times before being able to get it in safely, just ripped right out. But anyway, now I'm only one day away from audio orgasm lol. I'll just have to be careful setting the amps now so I don't rip anything else out

Sure will, as long as the box comes in, which it damn well should. It supposedly departed the NEAREST DHL office on Friday at 8PM lol... so it should be here tomorrow...if not, I'll be ____ed.

I think it will be :D I'm downloading trance and dance music to pump through it to see how well it responds hehe

I have a small Alpine amp mounted upside down to a board that sits across the spare tire, so the floor sits like stock
