Default Anyone done a dash trim kit - do they look cheap?

I'm considering getting the brushed aluminum, but I don't want a cheap look and I want it to match the "waterfall" piece.

Anyone know of other options? I'd like to have the aluminum look on the door handles and around the window/lock controls. I've even seen someone with it around the front of the instrument panel, too, which looked awsome!

I've got the carbon fiber dash kit from scion, overall I think it looks great. Well worth the money. Hasn't peeled up or anything. Plus with the interior mostly black, the carbon fiber look really blends in but sets it off at the same time. And it's rediculously easy to install.

This is kind of an old pic, this was shot with a camera phone and done before I modified my shifter. Let me know if you want some more, pics.

I wouldn't pay for a dash kit. I just finished painting the gauge cluster and the door handle pieces silver. They match the center console perfectly and I think the black and silver looks great together.

Don't have a pic of the door yet.

That does look good, I think I may have to steal your idea and do that to my cluster trim. I think even with the carbon fiber dash kit that painted trim would still look good because of the amount of silver that you still have exposed after the kit is on. What did it take to get that trim off? Just pull really hard like all the other interior pieces lol

what type of paint did you use? I got some silver automotive plastic paint a few years ago to do accents on my Firebird, but I am not sure if the color will match the center portion of the waterfall correctly.

Here's my silver speedo with brushed aluminum door handles. Looks great! I have heard bad things about the brushed aluminum kit waterfall pieces not fitting flush.
