I have a 2007 Scion tC with the factory iPod radio installed.

Every now and then when I plug in the iPod, the iPod will clear itself!
Sometimes it will freeze first, sometimes it will just say error and then clear right away.


I do have an older iPod (photo) but I've never had a problem with it in all these years except for when I started plugging into my tC.


I wouldn't have paid the extra for the radio if I had known it would just keep erasing my songs!

 

how long have you been having these problems? Have you always had them or have they just randomly started?

I know that the iPod HU's will only work with certain ipods with specific update versions on them. Maybe you're iPod is running an older version that's not compatible with the HU?

Check the manual for the required update needed, then check your iTunes to see which one your iPod currently has.
