What exactly is the purpose of this retainer? Is it necessary? Am I missing something? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

 

I think it goes in one of your cup holders, and is made so you can take it out of your car and clean it because smoking is sooooo nasty.

No problem. I put loose change and a five in the little recepticle w/ the lid. I also really like the cargo net that goes in the hatch, it has a net, and then a side part w/ 3 or 4 different compartments. Very useful to hold stuff that you might need in the future. Also really easy to take down if you need the hatch room.

 

The ashtry is for smokers. and the retainer is for..........other stuff?
Cell phones maybe?
I know it used to hold my smokes PERFECTLY! and my lighter too.
I quit somking about four months ago so i just put loose change in there now.
