i was wondering if anyone with a flipout still has the radio door after install? if so what flipout and what modifications were used to make it fit?

but long story short, ive seen if you put the deck on the bottom, leaving the pocket on top some people have pulled off a flip out deck and keeping the radio door.

 

your best bet is to remove the door. Most flip outs have tilt features and with the door on, you will have to tilt it forward to an odd viewing angle. When i had my flip out i just removed it.
I am sure someone has a work around for it.

 

even if you put it on the bottom, the tilt still is too far foreward to even see it, i eventually gave up and took mine off, theres one way to do it but its complicated and i havnt quite figure out how to do it yet. You need to adapt the arm on the door, to slide the hud in and out as it opens and shuts, so that its about 2 cm out when the door is open. This is really hard, and without some modifications, looks really ugly with the door open, my advise, take the door off.
