auto rear defroster

Default auto rear defroster

since the snow is coming soon here in chicago i was wondering if there is a way that the rear window defroster will turn on when the car is turned on, i have a remote start so that is y i am wondering cuz it sucks to go out in the cold to start a car especially at 6 in the morning

yes you can hook up an accessory output of the alarm to the rear defroster and you can turn it on when ever you want.

yup! accessory/aux output. tell ur alarm/rs installer to do that for u. they should do it for free.

i had it done by circuit city and i talked to them about it, they said that there was no way of doing it cuz it turns off (if left on when car is turned off) when the car starts so if it is possibe is there a way that i can do it or should i go to another circuit city and ask them?

talk to another installer they can do it. It doesn't matter if it resets with the car. That guy sounds like he just doesn't know how to do it. I install and I know it can be done.

ya so iwent to a few circuit cities no luck got same reply like before "we never did something like that" so is there a way i can do it myself or is there anyone in the chicago area that can do it

Don't listen to those guys at CC, a lot of them do not know what they are talking about. Yes it can be done
