Auxilary input adaptor instead of stereo

I just got rid of my stereo and dont plan on buying a new one. I want to install an input adaptor in order to connect my phone and play music from it. Anyone know the best way to do this?

I don't know if it's even possible to just run a AUX input without the stereo...

im pretty sure you cant, your speakers need some type of amplifier, maybe run an amp and get an ipod cable with rca ends on it it instead of a usb and hook it up directly into the amp and run the remote for the amp off a 12v wire with a switch...maybe

on a side note if you have an iphone you can download the iheartradio or pandora radio app and still have a traditional radio in your car without having a headunit
