Do you guys recomend the Pioneer AVIC-D3 or is there something better? I am looking for something with the NAV-DVD-Bluetooth and the I-POD all in one. I hear alot of good things about this unit except the NAV. Something about the CD's? I just need some input and if you have PICS let me see, Pioneer or not.

 

i love my d3. the nav is off once and a while but thats cause im in the city but even thats rare. alot of the gripes is that you have to have the nav disk in the cd slot to use alot of hte nav functions. the unit itself has built in memory but not that much (remembers your route after you plot it, and some areas off the route depending on how long your route is. i have an ipod so i just keep mine in there. i also have a slim ps2 in my glove box had i wanna watch a movie and need the nav (rare). its a great unit imo. its a pain to tune acoustically but after a while youll get it. and there are a few threads about the d3 so just search and im sure something will come up.

Hey I have a D3 also.
No bluetooth but i do have ipod.

The nav is EXCELLENT in our area (DFW)
It has alot of small shops you wont find on other brands (Eclipse)

I didnt think the nav was that great untill I went with other brands, those were really bad. I went back with the D3 and im glad I did.

The D3 will do alot of stuff for a fair price.
Like stated above you can easily hook up a PS2,camera,ipod,blue tooth and something in your aux in.
It really does alot.

The nav is what still amazes me. Its very fast, alot faster than the Eclipse I had.
It usually take about 3-5 seconds where as the Eclipse took about 10. Not that big of a differance but it was noticable.
Also the Eclipse didnt update sometimes when I was detoured. The D3 does it and fast.
