I just installed the avic-d3 in my car with the bypass and it works flawlessly. The sad thing is when my friend was connecting the wires and i was holding it it brushed against my shifter and scratched it . Any ideas on what I could do repair the scratches on the sceen?

 

unfortunately...nothing if they are deep scratches at all

 

u can try to get a screen protector to see if it would hide the scratch. But nothing really to fix it.

Thats a tough one, I've never seen one fixed.

 

there is nothing that i know that can fix scratches. have you tried calling local tv repair shop on fixing screens? thats the only thing i can think of. good luck and hope you find a solution.

 

ouch that hurts major but maybe the screen protector or a damaged d3 w/ good screen but i highly doubt you'll find one

ha thanks everyone. I actually tried the vaseline trick and it actually made some of the scratch go away.

can u tell me where u conencted ur speed sensor and ur reverse sensor wires? im trying to do my install and i have no idea.

not exactly, kind of confusing, if u can find it, LMK what color wire and where its located. also, where do i connect the parking brake wire so i can watch DVDs while im in drive? i searched and the harness doesnt look like the one i have... so im lost.

 

can i connect it to the ignition switch power? or the remote wire for the external amp?
