Default Avic D3

I have a Pioneer Avic D3 that requires DVDs to operate. Normaly when u put in the DVD the screen comes up and u hit a button that says get direction (not really sure what it says exactly but its the one in the uper left corner). This button is not higlighted and it woulnt work. I have a home adress programed in there that does work, so i can hit that button and it takes me home. I dont knw what to do i have yet to take it apart, im thinking its a physical connection, but then how come the home works and the map works as well, like when im moving the map moves as well, it just wount let me input new locations, im frustrated because the navy is fairly new u know

Check here: http://www.avic411.com/forum/index.p...f3243cd3aa7ab9

AVIC411 is where I find all the stuff/issues related to my F90BT. They have a section about problems and issues. I would look there for a solution.

Check your parking brake connection. On some of the units the parking brake must be engaged. I bypassed my D3 so I cant remember if you actually need to use the parking brake.

If you are doing the bypass there is no need for the parking brake. Just ground the ground wire and the parking brake wire. Then switch the yellow/black wire position then you are done. WAllah

like it was said, if it was installed correctly..and by correctly i mean legally, then the D3 will not allow you to search for address while the car is moving.

it worked at first but then i messed with it lol i did take apart the ground wire so thats probably what it is.. il try it. When i did it originally the cable was grounded but i would get this enoying message when i start my car " inproper connection check parking brake:, after i messed with the grounding wire this doesnt come up but the navy isnt working lol, this i assume is the reason i cant watch dvds in my car unless im in park with my hand brake up lol
