Default avic-d3 button color?

Can the button illumination on the AVIC-D3 match Scion's OEM amber dash illumination?

it is very close........it is oranger than it but yellower then the new 08 dash......so it works very well to be honest......you can fine tune the color a bit but it takes a bit to figure it out.

Its an amazing piece. You can also customize the colors by changing how much of red, green, and blue go into the color you want. So you can get almost an exact match if you want. Also you have a graphic motion analyzer that will display g-forces, slope, direction, angular velocity, acceleration and side acceleration. The gps is pretty good too. Get the steering wheel control piece and the install kit so you dont have the gaps on the sides when you install it.

I like it so far.......only on day 4 of being installed........yesturday it crapped out on me.........turns out I set one settign to off on the Navi so it did not like me.......so I reset it............then I find out that it had to relearn where it was.......right now it finds me up to a car length from where I am ........so it is really good.......

the DVD function is perfect.........

The stereo function is perfect and sound quality is good from it too.......

I finally got amp tuned in perfect with tone disks and it goes up to about 30 now without distortion.......but at 30 it is too loud........wow never thought those words would come from my mouth..........but I do have a chunk of watts going to 4 comps and a sub.....

whats the part # for the steering wheels control part? do you think it'd work with the xB too? but just use the custom color setting to match it.

Of course it will. They are both double din radios. You are going to use the stock brackets that will come off your original radio and put those on the D3. For the steering wheel controls its called PAC-SWIPS and will only work for pioneer or sony radios. Its a pain in the butt to program but well worth it IMO.

Also if you guys are going to do the install kit to take up the gap on the sides you will need to shave down the stock brackets. There is a right up on here somewhere.

I just got my PAC-SWI: PS installed today. I love it. There's a very milisecond delay but hardly anything. =) I love my D3! I have had it for almost a year now! I also got the the gap filled in. Well worth my money.

PAC SWI: PS cost around $60 or so on some websites. I just went on e-bay and got mine brand new for $45 =)
