I connected the ground wire to the wire to the wire that is already grounded for the d3 that way I did not have to find another mounting point. I don't remember about the bat wire tho.

I hooked my Ground to the deck ground and the battery wire to the deck power wire.Since they were so long it left me room to move the part around.

Words of advice.......put the unit where you can get to it.every time you disconnect the battery you have to push the reset button on the thing to get it to reconnect to the deck.I finally put mine in the back of glove box so I can get to the button without having to pull dash apart.

Haha......yeah it is a pain to put all the wires neatly, got all the deck wires, the Blutooth wires, the Ipod wires, the nav wires, the leds wireing, the underglow wireing, the alarm wires, the amp RCAs and power wires........I am officially out of room.

Blutooth can zip tie right behind the glove box with fairly easy access......I am tired of running wires everywhere this year.....
